Che del 2008 non ci fosse molto da premiare lo avevamo già intuito. Ma gli NME Awards di ieri sera superano ogni senso del ridicolo: la lista dei premiati ha infatti alcuni vincitori imbarazzanti.
Questo non tanto per la qualità artistica degli stessi, ma per alcune scelte quantomeno discutibili: va bene aver fiducia in Pete Doherty, ma premiarlo come ‘Best Solo Artist’ quando a malapena ha fatto uscire un singolo da solista…
Per non parlare del ‘Best Album Artwork’, andato a ‘HAARP’ dei Muse che poi è un dvd, e dal premio di ‘Sexiest Male’ andato andato al loro frontman Matt Bellamy, che tutto può essere considerato tranne che un adone… (Indie-rock)
